Professional Academy
Career readiness with real tools.
The Professional Academy empowers men of color to achieve career success through personalized peer mentoring, resume and LinkedIn reviews, professional headshots, and career guidance from students and alumni who have already navigated similar paths. By providing practical resources, professional development, and a supportive community, we help participants build the confidence, skills, and network needed to secure internships, jobs, and long-term career success.

Mentorship
Mentoring the next generation.
DMC members mentor underprivileged students at elementary and middle schools, creating positive role models, academic encouragement, and early exposure to leadership, college, and opportunity.
01 / Express Interest
Notify any E-Board member or committee chair that you are interested in becoming a mentor. A Google Form is usually sent out near the beginning of the semester.
02 / Attend Orientation
Attend an orientation session for potential mentors. The session covers the mentoring program, its goals, and expectations for mentors. Details are shared by email, GroupMe, and at GBMs.
03 / Submit Application & Background Check
Complete the mentorship application and background check process provided through CIS.
Wellness & Sports
Strong men need strong support systems.
Wellness includes sports, brotherhood, mental health, accountability, and spaces where members can reset and stay connected.
01 / Purchase Intramural Pass
Purchase the intramural semester pass through the VCU RecWell website.
02 / Fill Out Interest Form
Complete the interest form for the sport you want to participate in.
03 / Sign Sports Contract
Sign the contract agreeing to DMC and intramural sports policies.
